Rebecca Di Bartolomeo
Director & Psychologist, Sage Psychology
Rebecca is a relationally focused psychologist who believes that connection is central to meaningful therapeutic work. She takes a warm, compassionate and collaborative approach, creating a safe space for clients to feel understood, explore their experiences and develop strategies that support meaningful change.
Rebecca has a particular interest in supporting adults with ADHD, as well as individuals navigating the adjustment to parenting and the unique challenges that can arise during the perinatal and postnatal periods. Her work with parents is grounded in understanding the demands of parenting while also supporting individuals to maintain a sense of self, connection and wellbeing within their parenting role.
Rebecca is also a co-facilitator of the May Health ADHD Group Program, where she facilitates sessions focused on key areas of ADHD management, including sleep, time blindness and emotional regulation. This work complements her individual practice and reflects her passion for providing practical, evidence-informed strategies that support adults with ADHD in their everyday lives.
Rebecca draws primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She integrates these approaches flexibly according to each client's needs, with a focus on helping individuals understand their thoughts, emotions and behaviours, develop effective coping strategies, and build a life that feels meaningful and aligned with their values.
With a background working in school settings, Rebecca also has a strong interest in supporting children and young people, particularly where ADHD, learning difficulties or other factors may be impacting their engagement and confidence at school. She provides educational and ADHD assessments to help develop a clearer understanding of a young person's strengths, needs and learning profile, and to identify practical strategies to support their learning, engagement and wellbeing.
Across her work with adults, parents, children and young people, Rebecca aims to create a therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, supported and empowered to better understand themselves and develop the skills they need to move forward.
